What a busy week it's been...

Not that I am complaining of course, it is great that people like my work so much that they want to purchase things from me, I just never believed that SO many people would want to purchase things from me.

So whats been keeping me busy this week, as well as the basket I re-vamped (see previous post) I have been busy with Aprons, Peg Bags and knitting

This is my latest Apron,

you know every time I make a new one that becomes my favourite one so far!

Then it was onto peg bags, this was an order from a lady on Facebook

Then an order for a Lady who wants 2 half aprons for a new Tea Rooms that opens on Saturday

Now I have another Rabbit to knit for my Grandson Marshall, I shall get that started tonight but first I have to make some fabric head wraps for my Granddaughter.

Tomorrow is our ....

.....1st Birthday!

Yes Love, Heart, Home is 1 year old tomorrow.

Its been a fantastic first year and even if I say so myself I am proud of everything we have achieved during this time. It has been hard work and some would say I was mad starting a business in what is a luxury market with the economy being as it is but we have finished the year in a good place to start year 2.
We have come a long way in 12 months, we now run 3 craft clubs a week for up to 20 ladies, this had to be cut down from 4  sessions to make way for the 2 sewing groups that run on alternate Saturdays, these are 2 groups of 4 ladies at a time learning basic sewing skills and having a great time doing it.

As well as the adult classes we hold regular craft sessions for Children from age 8, these have been a huge success and kits for these classes being sold to 2 local childminders which are up to 10 kits at a time.

As with all businesses we have area that are more popular than others, the personalised items we make for Children have been hugely popular and are in fact one of our best sellers, our kitchen section is constantly having to be re-stocked and the Home ware section is getting extremely popular.

I have also had some commissioned orders for larger pieces of furniture, in fact 2 I have at the minute are to re-cover an old ottoman in some new fabric and to re-vamp a chest of drawers. Pieces I have undertaken have ranged from small trinket boxes to large toy boxes.

All in all it has been a great first year, I couldn't have done it without the love and support of all my family and Friends, some old friends and a lot of them are new friends I wouldnt have met without the shop, they have been a rock in times when the stress levels were high and orders were pilling up, you know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart, without you all my journey would have been tougher.

Well enough of the chatting  now to the celebrations!!!

To celebrate our first year coupled with gaining over 1,000 followers on Facebook I am doing a giveaway.

The prize will be an Apron made using this beautiful fabric by Clark and Clark called Tea Cups. I love this, it is a gorgeous Cotton Duck fabric which is just so pretty and was calling my name when I saw it in our local fabric shop.

I will give additional prizes if we get lots of people who enter to give everyone a fair chance of winning.

Another Giveaway!

I dont know if any of you know but I have a page on Facebook for the shop, we have a number of people who are fans of this page and as before I wanted to have a little giveaway once we reached 500 followers, well we did!!

It was a bit of the 'Chicken and the Egg' situation as my newest Grandson was due on 11/10/10 and I wondered which would come first the 500 followers or the Grandson, well we are still waiting for the Grandson!
