Decoupaged.... everything!!

I know I said I was going to write on my blog more this year and I haven't and there is no excuse for it, yes I am extremely busy with the shop and classes which I run all on my own and now a single woman looking after my 13 year old Grandson who has had to move to another new house but they are not excuses they are reasons why I haven't been able to write more on here.
I don't like to talk a lot about my private life and find it hard sometimes to say how I feel so I opt to stay away until I do.

So what have I been doing in the world of crafting I hear you ask, well I don't but lets pretend there is someone out there who is remotely interested in reading this blog post and who will be delighted to see what I have been doing in the few spare hours I do get.

It was my birthday in June and I asked for an old type phone, cream in colour and this is what I got, a new phone made to look like one from my childhood but with all the modern things you need a phone to have, push button dialling, last No. redial etc.

and this is what I did with it

Looks pretty now doesn't it? What do you think?

I then started to look at using this method on other things like this lamp base

then these shelves

and then these handles of which I have had a steady stream of orders for

So they have all kept me busy over the past few weeks

I wonder what else it would look good on?

As promised...

... here I am again, 2 posts in a few days, not bad eh?

Well what have I got to tell you all, I have been busy making lots of lovely new things and have a 'To Do' list as long as the M1 motorway.

Here is a few of the Cot quilts I have recently made

Then I have made this for a friend who has just had a Baby Girl

So I have been rather busy.

Tomorrow I want to try and make a craft bag using these

I will let you all know how it turns out.

My classes start a new cycle next week so there are a few things to tie up to make sure they are all ready to go, this next few months I will be holding a 6 week beginners sewing course, a 6 week improver's sewing course and 2  four week quilting courses, the classes are getting very popular but take a lot of planning.

Hopefully I will be back with the photos of my craft bag soon

Well I am totally ashamed of myself...

... it was September the last time I was on here, that's not good, not good at all is it?

Well I would like to tell you that something amazing has happened to stop me from getting on my blog, like I won the lottery and have been jetting across the world enjoying myself ..... but alas no!
I have just been working in my little shop keeping busy, making beautiful things and doing lots of workshops.

In my defence I have moved house again and had no Internet access for over a month so that only leaves 6 months to account for.

Well here are a few of the things I have been busy making

Just a few of the items that have kept me so busy over the past few months, I will try not to leave it so long until I post again

Our new babies!

Hi everyone, I have had such a hectic Summer I don't know where the time has gone. To say it has been a busy time is an understatement, we have moved house and I have become a temporary 'Mummy' to these adorable little things

Angel's puppies
6 beautiful Bichon Frise puppies who are now nearly 6 weeks old, 4 girls and 2 boys and all very lively.

We have found new homes for all but 1 of them and I am keeping 2 for myself, 2 girls which I have named Tilly and Daisy, I couldn't resist them.

Tilly, Daisy are both mine and Bertie is going to my Son

Bertie has found a new Mummy and daddy with my Son and DIL and Grandson Flynn

Jasper has a new Mummy and Daddy and a future playmate, a little boy called Archie

Only a few more weeks and they will be off to their new lives and a much quieter house we will have here.

It has been so long....

...since I last posted on here which just shows how busy my life has been recently.

I have been busy re-organising the shop to make space for a sewing workshop space, it still needs filling up but its getting there. In fact this was taken when it was first done and it has loads more stuff there now.

Then I have been busy putting together the workshop list for the shop, all the sewing workshop up until the end of November and the beginners sewing group have been sorted out and the kids craft club timetable completed. That took longer to do than I thought!

So what else has kept me busy? shop orders, face book orders and I have just made a start on the 3 quilts orders I have to do, 1 double and 2 cot quilts

Today I pieced the top of the double quilt

I love the colours of this one, the large Cerise piece has to have a name appliqued on to it.

and pieced one of the cot quilts

These fabrics are so pretty

I will make a start on the other cot quilt tomorrow then start the applique work on all 3 of them.

I have also been making a few new bags that I want to stock

Shoulder bag

Very Girly Bag

 Messenger bag

I think the messenger bags will be popular for the kids going back to school
I am also waiting for this to be delivered

Elna 6600 Quilters Dream 2
I am hoping it will be here in a few days and I cant wait!

Well I have loads more to tell you all but it will have to wait for another day as I have things to do before bedtime, sorry I have been away for so long, hopefully I will be a better blogger in future

I cant believe its been a month...

since I last posted on here, I just don't know how time slips away so quickly.

I have had some family stuff to deal with, my Father-in-law has recently passed away and there is still a lot going on surrounding that so my time has been a little diverted recently.

So whats been happening at Love, Heart, Home since I was last here?....... Lots

I have been very busy at the shop making stock, fulfilling orders, holding craft groups and classes and time just goes, in fact I cant believe just how busy I have been so much so that I have employed my first member of staff, so a huge welcome to Helenne.
Helenne will be working with me at the shop and will be a part of the re-fit I have planned to make a second classroom so we can accommodate the never ending demand for classes in sewing, scrap booking, card making, decoupage, altered art, re-vamping and small re-upholstery items and they are just the ones we are either holding now or planning for the next few months.

It will mean cutting down a little on shop space but the extra workspace will be great, I am hoping to get the work completed over the next few weeks so I can get the new classes underway, I have waiting lists for the sewing and quilting groups so I am eager to get the dates fixed for these.
So onwards and upwards we go, I couldn't have wished for a better first year of trading and we now have a great customer base with loads of returning customers. We are busy in the shop, we are taking more orders, we have waiting lists for workshops, so life couldn't get any better at the minute so a HUGE Thank You to Karen, Helenne and everyone who is a part of all of this.

All I need is more hours in a day and some time off to recharge my batteries but I think that will have to wait a while.

Look what I have now...

I have just acquired this beautiful cupboard

I think maybe a Farrow and Ball paint for the outside

maybe fabric or paper for the inside especially the back

I see a telephone table, what do you see?
