Should it stay or should it go?

There are times in my life when I have an idea for something and actually have all the things I need to complete the project and then when it has been completed I am torn between keeping it and selling it.

Well this is one of those projects, I cant decide if I want to keep it or sell it, what would you do?

I have to admit I am torn and am tempted to keep it for myself, its the first time I have tried this technique and I love it so maybe the Bird House will see some of those gorgeous tissues after all and I have a little cupboard and a trinket box and lots of other things, my mind is in overdrive now thing of all the beautiful things I could make using this technique.

Oh well off to finish off some shop orders and get ready for tonight craft club
Catch you all later

Now Quilts....

I have been busy with shop orders, facebook orders and loads of sewing orders and that's not counting Mother's day stock,  don't get me wrong I am not complaining but I could do with a few more hours in a day and/or a couple of extra days in the week.

My latest project is an order to make 2 quilts for two little boys, Pheonix and Finlay, their Mum Donna has seen the first one finished so now I can show all of you, here are the selection of the fabrics that I am using to make them.

and here is Peonix's finished quilt

Not the best photo but the best I could take today, so 1 down and 1 to go

Back to shop orders tomorrow but I am hoping to get the second quilt cut out tomorrow night, off to do a bit more knitting now, more Rabbits on the way, the next one is for my Grandson Marshall.

See you later!

I wonder if I can use these....

All 32 Designs of Cath Kidston Tissues
 to pretty this up

Bird House

I managed to get my hands on a couple of these recently and have just sat looking at them not really knowing what I wanted to do with them

I decided I wanted it raised so have added an MDF base and mounted the Bird House onto a length of dowel so now it stands about 2 foot high. I am still not sure how to decorate it and if I should use my Cath Kidston Tissues which arrived this morning
Maybe I will just look at it a while longer before I decide.

What a busy week it's been...

Not that I am complaining of course, it is great that people like my work so much that they want to purchase things from me, I just never believed that SO many people would want to purchase things from me.

So whats been keeping me busy this week, as well as the basket I re-vamped (see previous post) I have been busy with Aprons, Peg Bags and knitting

This is my latest Apron,

you know every time I make a new one that becomes my favourite one so far!

Then it was onto peg bags, this was an order from a lady on Facebook

Then an order for a Lady who wants 2 half aprons for a new Tea Rooms that opens on Saturday

Close up of the Tea Pot

Close up of the Cup Cake

I have also finished my latest knitting project

Candy Bear
Now I have another Rabbit to knit for my Grandson Marshall, I shall get that started tonight but first I have to make some fabric head wraps for my Granddaughter.

No rest for the wicked!!!

Now it looks like this......

The top has been covered in a pretty pink and blue spotted fabric which is padded so it can be used as a pincushion with a lace and ribbon trim and a covered button to finish it off. I have also added a ribbon loop to make opening the basket easier.

My inspiration for the colours I have used came from the flowers on the front of the basket

I have lined the inside with this pretty blue spot and the sides and bottom have also been padded out and a rfibbon added as a stay for the lid.
I think all in all its quite a pretty sewing basket now and a perfect present for Mothers Day, what do you think?

A re-vamp project..

What to do with this? I think it would make a very pretty sewing basket, what do you think?

It isnt massive, it measures 8.5" wide x 6" deep x 4" high, well I have found some pretty fabric so I may do something with it this afternoon

Maybe have some photos later
